The National Cadet Corps (NCC) at VIDYASAGAR COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE is a distinguished and vital part of the college's extracurricular and academic framework. It plays an instrumental role in shaping young minds, providing opportunities for students to build leadership qualities, instill discipline, and serve the community. Since its inception, the NCC has been instrumental in fostering patriotism, teamwork, and a spirit of volunteerism among cadets, preparing them for future challenges in all spheres of life. The NCC unit at Vidyasagar College was established to provide students with opportunities to engage in activities that promote national unity, physical fitness, and mental strength. Over the years, our NCC unit has seen remarkable growth, with an increasing number of students joining the corps to experience the values and benefits it offers.

Vidyasagar College of Arts and Science, Udumalpet.

13 years of experience as ANO in NCC ARMY WING. He has guided TN, P& AN contingent in RDC 2019 Capt.A.Prakash has been instrumental in shaping cadets into confident leaders. He continues to inspire with his discipline, dedication, and dynamic leadership in Our College, Udumalpet.

The National Cadet Corps (NCC) at VIDYASAGAR COLLEGE OF ARTS AND SCIENCE stands as a pillar of patriotism, leadership, and holistic development. It is more than a uniform—it is a way of life that instills discipline, integrity, and national pride in our cadets.

Our NCC unit operates under the guidance of the 4 TN BN NCC ,Kovai group , enrolling both male and female cadets who exhibit potential and passion for service. Cadets undergo rigorous military-style training, participate in national-level camps, and contribute actively to community welfare and nation-building activities.

Through NCC, students are shaped into responsible citizens and future leaders of the nation. Our cadets have represented the college in prestigious events like the Republic Day Camp (RDC), Thal Sainik Camp (TSC), and National Integration Camps (NIC). The unit emphasizes not just physical training but also mental strength, civic sense, and a strong moral compass. At Vidyasagar College, NCC is not just an extracurricular—it is a transformative journey that builds character, courage, and a commitment to the greater good.

The National Cadet Corps at Vidyasagar College engages cadets in various regular activities aimed at building leadership, discipline, and civic responsibility.

WEEKLY TRAINING

  • Drill Practice: Parade and ceremonial drills to instill discipline and coordination.
  • Physical Training (PT): Sessions focused on physical fitness, stamina, and endurance.
  • Theory Classes: Lessons on military subjects, leadership, disaster management, and national integration.

SOCIAL SERVICE & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT
